Place the vehicle on the center stand.

Unscrew and remove the two screws (1).

◆

Unscrew and remove the screw (2).

NOTE

The handlebar covers are as-

sembled with four upper tangs and four
lower tangs.

CAUTION

Proceed with care.
Do not damage the tangs and/or their
seats.
Handle the plastic or painted compo-
nents with care and avoid scraping or
damaging them.

NOTE

Operate before on the side tangs

and then on the central tangs.

Insert, in correspondence with the tang,
a small blade screwdriver in the joint of
the handlebar covers.

◆

Lever moderately, by raising the edge of
the front handlebar cover and releasing
the tang.

◆

Repeat the operation described above
for the other tangs.

◆

Remove the front handlebar cover (3).

Unscrew and remove the two screws (4).

Remove the cover (5).

cover, see p. 34 (BATTERY / TOOL KIT
COMPARTMENT).

Remove the tool kit compartment (7).

◆

Disconnect first the negative (-) and then
the positive cable (red) (+).

◆

Remove the battery breather tube (8).

WARNING

Always reconnect the battery breather
tube.
Handle the battery with care. Neither
overturn the battery, nor spill the elec-
trolyte.

Remove the battery from its compart-
ment.

WARNING

Once it has been removed, the battery
must be stored in a safe place and kept
away from children: risk of serious inju-
ries or even death.
