5. Operating instructions
Before using the device make sure that you have read the operating instructions for the battery, the vehicle and the
charger and you have understood all of the safety precautions.

5.2 Connecting the adapter cable
Caution:
Make sure that the battery charger is not connected to a mains socket.
Connect the adapter cable and the battery charger using the quick plug connection method.
Lay the cable so that it is free from bends and tensions. The charging cable may not be crushed, for example, by a closed vehicle
door. If possible, lay the cable through an open window into the vehicle.
Caution:
The battery charger may not be positioned inside the vehicle during the charging procedure.
Now follow the operating instructions of your charger.
6.Maintenance and care
6.1 Maintenance
The adapter cable is maintenance-free if used according to its intended purpose.
6.1.1 Changing the fuse of a 12 V connector
Turn the knurled screw at the tip of the 12 V connector anti-clockwise until it is released from the connector and it can be remo-
ved. The fuse is exposed and can be removed from the connector. Replace the fuse with another of the same strength and screw
the knurled screw back into the connector.
6.2 Care
Clean the connector housing and the cable with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents or solvent-based
cleaners. Never allow liquids to ingress into the connector housing.
7. Notes regarding environmental protection
The packaging is made up of environmentally friendly materials which may be disposed of via your local recycling
points. Do not put electrical devices into the household waste! Electronic and electrical devices must be collected sepa-
rately and sent for environmentally friendly recycling. Please contact your community or city administration regarding
disposal options for electronic scrap.
