Wide Dynamic Range
Dynamic range is a key specification for spectrum analyzers. Low displayed average noise level (DANL) as well as high TOI are important too.
Low TOI may cause distortion with high-level carrier signals. Inserting an attenuator can lower the carrier level but this has the effect of lowering
the level of weak spurious, making it hard to measure.
The MS2830A has an excellent dynamic range supporting true performance measurements of devices, such as base stations, requiring
wideband measuring instruments.
