Appliance
specific
safety
instructions
Do not operate the toaster on
its side.
Do not attempt to dislodge
food when the toaster is in
operation or plugged in to a
power source.
Be aware that small thin toast
cooks
quicker
and
may
become lodged in the toaster.
Before cleaning allow the unit
to fully cool.
Do not insert oversized food,
metal foil packages or utensils
into the toaster.
Burnt food is a potential fire
hazard, so it’s important that
you never leave your toaster
unattended,
keep
your
appliance away from anything
that may catch fire and set the
browning control lower for
thin or dry bread.
Avoid toasting the food with
extremely runny ingredients
such as butter.
Before first time use
Run the appliance through a toasting
cycle, but without any bread in the
toaster.
Let the toaster cool down, and then
use it normally. This is to remove any
manufacturing residue or oil that may
remain after production. Don’t worry
if an odour is emitted for the first few
uses, this is normal.
Directions for use
Put the bread into the bread slot, and
make sure the crumb tray is in place
before use. For best results for larger
bread place, place the slice into the
toaster at a landscape orientation.
Plug the power cord into the socket.
Set the colour controller to the desired
setting. The lowest setting is white,
and the highest is dark. Please note,
the settings will toast darker for one
slice than for two.
Press the handle down to begin the
toasting process. Once the bread is
toasted to the desired colour, the
handle will spring up.
During the toasting process, the
operation may be cancelled at any
time by pressing the cancel button.
