6.1.6 Seatbelt
For your safety, the seat-belt must be fastened before driving the wheelchair. (fig. 12)
6.2 FUNCTIONALITY
6.2.1 Preparation before use
• Turn power off before any and all transfers
• Verify that the brakes function correctly
• Fold the footrest pallet then hold the armrest to sit in the wheelchair.
• Do not get out of the wheelchair by pressing on the footrest palate. Otherwise, the
chair may tip over.
6.2.2 Training before use
• Find a spacious place like a public square and ask an assistant to help you practice until
you have enough confidence to use the LIGHTCHAIR II alone.
• Press the power button on the joystick, the battery light will come on.
• Choose the lowest speed until you can use the wheelchair with confidence.
• Push the joystick forward, observe the movement of the wheelchair, then push it in all
directions and observe the rotation of the wheels.
• Release the joystick and observe that the wheels stop turning.
WARNING!
Turn the power off when climbing in and out of the wheelchair.
