Allow Vote Options
Each member is allowed to vote Yes or No to any topic. In addition, each member may be allowed
to vote
Abstain
or
Excuse
. Allow vote options are listed in the following table:
Display Tally Options
These options control how the voting results are displayed to the members and the public. The
display tally options are listed in the following table:
Allow Vote Options
Allow Abstain
Each member is presented with an
Abstain
button and may cast an abstain vote. Abstain
votes are not counted as affirmative votes. Abstain votes are counted when calculating
quorum if quorum is enabled.
Allow Excuse
Each member is presented with an
Excuse
button and may cast an excuse vote. Excuse
votes are not counted as affirmative votes. Excuse votes are not counted when calculating
quorum if quorum is enabled.
Display Tally Options
Include Totals (#)
When the voting results are displayed, the actual number of votes for each vote
are displayed.
Include Percentage (%)
When the voting results are displayed, each vote is displayed as a percentage
of the total vote. Any rounding errors during percentage calculation are added
to the non-affirmative vote, if enabled, in this order:
• Excuse
• Abstain
• No
This ensures that the percentages total is 100%.
Include Members Names
If this option is enabled, the system displays the member’s actual vote as votes
are registered from each voting station. If this option is disabled, the system
simply represents that the member has locked their vote. This option will not
affect the agenda result as the members’ votes will always be available in the
agenda results for archival.
Display Vote Results In
Progress
This option allows you to view the voting tally as each member votes. Also, if
the include members name is enabled, you can see each members vote as it is
entered on the
View Voter Status
screen. If this option is not selected, the vot-
ing tally is only available after the vote is closed.
