Detector Circuits
The detector circuit accepts smoke detectors, heat detectors or manual call points that will cause the
panel to go into alarm within one second. Detector types used are subject to the compatibility
limitations as described in section 4.
Devices such as smoke detectors, which signal by increasing line current, can, when signalling, go
through “gating” or Alarm Verification. As such, when a detector goes into alarm, it is reset and not
monitored for two to three seconds, if an alarm is still present after this time, the system will then latch
into alarm. This function may be de-selected if not required by removing link K1-2 (GATING). See
section 5 for details.
Important:
Detector
line voltage
is 22V (open circuit). Current signalling detectors ( smoke or electronic
heat ) must be rated for 24V operation.
