Using the Device
3.4.4 Making Your Device a Wi-Fi Hotspot
When the GT78-VN is connected to a 4G network, you can share the con-
nection with your laptop or other devices by making your GT78-VN a Wi-Fi
hotspot. To do so:
1. Swipe down the Statu sbar and tap SETTINGS | WIRELESS & NETWORKS |
More | Tethering & portable hot spot .
2. Tap Wi-Fi hotspot slider to enable the hot spot function.
3. Tap Setup Wi-Fi hot spot to configure the settings as needed:
•
Network SSID: Enter a name to identify the wireless networkcreated by the
GT78-VN.
• Security &password: To prevent your device from being accessed
byunauthorized users, it is strongly recommended that you setup a password
to protect your network.
Using the Rugged Handheld Device
When Wi-Fi hotspot is enabled, a Wi-Fi hotspot icon will appear in the Notifi -
cation Area . You can swipe down the icon to see the connection information.
