Introduction
1.1 General Description
The APS42 is an Auxiliary Power Supply unit designed to be used in
conjunction with the AMETEK Land Model 4200+ range of Continuous
Opacity Monitoring Systems.
For more information on the Model 4200+ , refer to the Model 4200+ User
Guide (Publication Nº 810260).
1.2 Installation Requirements
• The APS42 is designed to be wall-mounted, via mounting feet on each
corner of the unit. Refer to section 2.1 for installation dimensions.
• The mains input cable and the power supply output and transceiver
connection cables to the 4200+ must be routed through suitable cable
glands (supplied by the end-user). When fitted, the cable glands must
maintain the IP66 NEMA4 sealing of the APS42. There is a removable
gland plate in the bottom of the unit.
• The mains cable must be able to carry the input current specified below.
• An external switch/circuit breaker for disconnecting this equipment
from the mains must be installed in the mains input wiring. It must
be mounted nearby and marked for the purpose. The unit must be
positioned so that it is easy to operate the disconnection device.
