Maintenance
3.1 Cleaning
Clean the outside surfaces of the unit with a soft, dry cloth.
3.2 Replacing the Power Supply Module
(Land Part Nº 810229)
The APS42 is designed to be maintenance-free. The only user-replaceable
component is the internal Power Supply Module (Land Part Nº 810229).
WARNING
Risk of electric shock. Ensure that the APS42 is disconnected from
the mains power supply before opening the door of the unit.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock. If the Power Supply Module is replaced,
the APS42 must be tested to BS EN 61010-1, or equivalent local
safety regulations prior to operation.
1) Ensure that the APS42 is disconnected from the mains power supply.
2) Open the APS42 by using the key supplied with the unit
3) The Power Supply Module (810229) is located on a DIN rail near the
top of the enclosure (refer to Fig. 3-1). Make a note of the cable
connections (you can refer to the Electrical Connections schedule in
Section 2.2 of this guide)
4) Using a small ’Phillips’ head screwdriver, disconnect the wires from the
three mains input terminals and the two 24 V DC output terminals.
5) Unclip the Power Supply Module and replace it with a new module.
6) Reconnect the wires to the mains input terminals and the two 24 V DC
output terminals.
7) Close the door of the APS42 and lock it with the key supplied.
8) Ensure that the APS42 is tested to BS EN 61010-1, or equivalent local
safety regulations before use.
