2.8 Zeroing the EPM-2021 and the EPM-2023
To eliminate any drift in sensor and electronics it is possible to zero set
the instrument. However, pressure on ± inputs of the EPM should be
removed first. Leave the inputs “open” which will secure the best
zeroing. Then press the key and the display will show 0 and the
chosen pressure unit.
2.9 Correction of ambient pressure EPM-2025
This mode enables correction of ambient pressure between 900 mbar
and 1100 mbar absolute. This mode is used together with a precision
barometer or similar. Make sure that the pressure input is “Open” to the
atmosphere. The instrument will show ambient pressure (barometer).
If you wish to adjust/change this, press , and the display will show
900 mbar (or the equivalent in other engineering units)
Press and hold . The display will now count upwards from 900 and
when required atmospheric pressure has been reached (max. 1100
mbar) release key. The subsequent measurements will now be
adjusted to your settings.
PLEASE NOTE: This setting will be lost, when the instrument is
switched off.
2.10 Average reading
This mode is suitable for measurement of reciprocating compressors or
other systems which have fast increasing or declining pressures. The
mode will show the average of the last 4 measurements. To activate
the mode, press the key and the symbol will appear on the
symbol display. Press the key once more to interrupt the mode
(instrument will return to MAX/MIN mode).
