CYLINDRICAL MAINTENANCE

MAINTAINING THE SCRUB DECK BRUSHES

To access the scrub deck belt, open the left side guard, unscrew the
hardware holding the cover panel, then remove panel. To set belt tension,
slightly loosen the 2 bolts from behind the triagular metal piece in which
they are set. Move this piece to tighten or loosen the belt, then reset bolts.
Test tension and readjust until pressure reading is 2 lbs.

To replace, loosen until belt is easily removed. Replace with new belt and
follow same procedure as above. Reinstall cover and close side guard.

MAINTAINING THE SQUEEGEES

Open the right and left side guards as shown in

fi

gures 1 & 2. Inspect the side squeegee blades for wear and damage. If the wiping edge has

become rounded, detach from guard by removing the screws from the squeegee strap. Turn so the unworn edge is now the wiping edge and reinstall.
This process can be repeated until all four edges are worn. If the squeegee blade has become gouged or torn, it should be replaced.(The same rear
squeegee is used on cylindrical and disc scrubbers - see Chapter 1.)
