SPEEDDOME LT

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

This chapter contains one troubleshooting proced-
ures. Before you perform this procedure, perform
the following steps first:

ο

Try the troubleshooting procedure!

Use this procedure to fix the problem if it is in
the indoor chassis.

ο

If you cannot fix the problem, ship the
indoor chassis (dome) back to the National
Repair Center.

If the troubleshooting procedure does not fix the
problem, then the manufacturer suggests that
you ship the dome to the National Repair Center
for service. To obtain a repair authorization
number, call 1-800-543-9740 (CEs) or 1-800-
442-2225 (Dealers).

Tools and Equipment Required

To service the dome, you should have on hand the
following equipment:

−

  Dome Software (latest version)

−

 Phillips-head 

screwdriver

−

  0.4 x 2.5mm slotted screwdriver (for wire connec-

tions)

−

  Socket wrench with 5” extension and 5.5mm,

6mm, 8mm, and 10mm sockets

−

  14-18 AWG and 20-22 AWG wire strippers

Troubleshooting

Use this procedure if:

−

  The dome does not respond to commands

−

  The dome does not produce video

−

  The quality of the video is poor

−

  The dome has no lens control.

Read CAUTIONS below.

WARNING!

DO NOT use this procedure if the
dome functions but does not pan or
tilt.

!

WARNING!

Ship the indoor chassis to the NRC for
service. If you can’t perform routine
troubleshooting, we strongly recommend
you ship the chassis to the National
Repair Center for service.

CAUTION—ELECTROSTATIC
SENSITIVE DEVICES! Use a grounding
strap when handling either the Unicard
board or the Camera/Lens Board.
