5.1.3 SMTP Settings
1.
With SD Card & SIM Card inserted, antenna attached, and camera powered, toggle
the camera to test mode and check for cellular signal and the SIM card icon.

Connect the camera to a PC using the included USB cable, then open the
MMSCONFIG software.

Click Mode [Camera] or Mode [Camera & Video] from the Menu, select SMTP, then
choose STMP Mode [Manual].
4.
Fill in all GPRS Settings such as APN, Account, and Password.
5.
Fill in the sender email fields such as Type, Encryption Protocol, Server IP, Server
Port, Email, Password and Email Settings.
6.
Navigate to MMS settings and turn MMS off.
7.
Click Save button and save the Parameter.dat file to the camera’s SD card.
8.
Unplug the USB cable from the camera.
9.
Go to SMTP settings in the camera and turn SMTP on.
10.
Turn the camera on, and it is now ready for use!
5.2 SMS Commands
Note: Prior to using MMS/SMTP needs to be set to ‘on’ mode in the camera.
1.
Text *500* to take a photo.
2.
Text *505* to take a photo and send it to the mobile device that sent the text.
3.
Text *520* to check the picture quantity and battery status.
4.
Text *530* to turn on the camera.
5.
Text *531* to turn the camera into sleeping mode.
6 Caution
The camera should not be connected to a power charger that is more than 6 Volts.
The SD card should be unlocked before formatting it.
Please only remove or insert the SD card or SIM card when the camera is OFF.
Please ensure that the camera is plugged in or has sufficient battery capacity when conducting a
firmware upgrade otherwise the camera’s software can be damaged.
100% uptime cannot be guaranteed for MMS or GPRS functionality in the camera, as communications
networks and environments vary from place to place.
