3. Attach the closer to the frame with the speed
regulating valves toward the hinge.
4. Attach the foot of the forearm to the door.
5. Adjust the length of the forearm to position
the forearm at a right angle to the frame when
connected to the main arm at elbow; use the
washer and screw provided to secure the pivot
connection. Tighten the locknut on the forearm.
6. Install the cover.
7. Adjust the closer.
About power adjustment
NOTICE
Before installation, adjust the spring
power as shown the “Table of sizes” chart. Adjust
spring power: DO NOT exceed the maximum turns.
The spring power has been reset to 0 turns in factory.
Parallel arm (fig. 15-20)
1. Select the degree of the door. Use the dimensions
shown in the “Table of sizes” chart and in figure 15
or 18 to mark the location of the attaching screws
on the door and frame; prepare holes.
2. Attach the closer to the door with the speed
regulating valves’ back to the hinge.
3. Attach the PA plate to the top frame as shown.
4. Remove the foot from the forearm and discard.
