Notes on figures
• Right hand door illustrated; same dimensions apply
to left hand door
• Measurements of hinge dimensions are in inches (mm).
• Do not scale drawing.
Regular arm (fig. 5-9)
1. Select the degree of the door. Use the dimensions
shown in the “Table of sizes” chart and in figure 5
to mark the location of the attaching screws on the
door and frame; prepare holes.
2. Assemble the main arm to the closer.
3. Attach the closer to the door with the speed
regulating valves toward the hinge.
4. Attach the foot of the forearm to the frame.
5. Adjust the length of the forearm to position
the forearm at a right angle to the frame when
connected to the main arm at elbow; use the
washer and screw provided to secure the pivot
connection. Tighten the locknut on the forearm.
6. Install the cover.
7. Adjust the closer.
Top jamb (fig. 10-14)
1. Select the degree of the door. Use the dimensions
shown in the “Table of sizes” chart and in figure
9/10 to mark the location of the attaching screws
on the door and frame; prepare holes.
2. Assemble the main arm to the closer.
