Troubleshooting Information
Symptom Possible Causes Corrective Action
Excessive noise. Fan motor mounting hardware/ Check mounting bolts/bracket
bracket loose. for tightness. Tighten if
necessary.
Copper tubing improperly routed. Inspect copper tubing for
excessive vibration. Secure
tubing.
Compressor internal noise. Inspect compressor for proper
operation. Replace.
No cooling. No refrigerant charge in sealed system. Test sealed system for leak.
Recharge unit.
Restiction in sealed system. Evacuate sealed system.
Remove restriction, recharge
unit.
Compressor faulty. Check compressor motor
windings for open / shorts.
Replace compressor.
Rotary control faulty. Ensure all control connections
are tight and secure. Check
control for proper operation
and installation. Replace if
faulty.
Wattage slowly decreases below Undercharged, restricted strainer or plugged Test sealed system for proper
minimum specification. capillary tube. charge. Ensure system is free
of leaks/restriction. Repair
Evacuate & recharge
sealed system.
