Mount in accordance with the following requirements and in the order indicated in the illustrated part of the Operation
Manual.
Please, keep this Operation Manual throughout the entire life of the product.
Do not shorten or lengthen the antenna. Protect the antenna from moving parts of the roller shutter system. Avoid contact of the
antenna with metal surfaces.
Only a professional electrician may mount, connect and commission your electric motor in accordance with the legal acts
and regulations of the region where the electric motor is mounted. In particular, in accordance with safety instruction
EN 60335-2-97 or electrical engineering wiring regulations of the Association of German Electrical Engineers (VDE 0100). After
the commissioning of the roller shutter system, the qualified personnel must ensure compliance with the standards applicable in the
region, for example, EN 13659 standard for roller shutters.
This motor is only allowed to be used as part of a gate if the necessary safety
measures are taken in accordance with the standards and regulations applicable to the gate in the region where it is being installed.
The instructions provided in this Operation Manual should be qualified as basic sample guidance since mounting spots and your
installation kit may vary. The installer is fully responsible for finding the most appropriate mounting solution.
Make sure the roller shutter is in working condition, and is suitable for automation with the selected electric motor. Check
whether the roller shutter curtain moves smoothly and without difficulty along the guide rails.
Mounting spot must be easily accessible. Before you start the installation, clean up your working zone, remove all unnecessary
objects (such as cables, wires, cords, etc.) and switch off all electric devices not required in the process of installation.
If the circuit breaker that turns off the power supply is out of sight, then attach a warning sign
saying: “Do not switch on! Men at
work” and take measures to exclude the possibility of erroneous supply of voltage.
Handle the tubular electric motor carefully during its mounting: protect it against impact, falling or
contact with liquids of any type; do not drill or screw into the electric motor; do not place the device near
heat sources or open flame. The situations described above can cause damage to the product, provoke
malfunctions, or lead to danger. If one of the situations described above occurs, stop assembly immediately and
contact your Supplier.
Ensure full visibility of the roller shutter system from the location of the shutter control unit. The control unit has to be mounted
within safe distance from moving parts of the shutter and has to be placed at least 1.5 m above the ground.
The parameters of the electric cables used (section, number of wires, etc.) must correspond to the electrical interface, device
power, cabling distance, cabling method and environmental conditions.
If the electric motor is mounted at the height of less than 2.5 m from the floor or another supporting surface, it is necessary to
complicate accidental access to the electric motor and wiring.
If the electric motor is mounted on the external side of the building (outdoors), you must lay all electric cables inside special
protective casing for safety reasons. Cables laid through a metal partition must be protected and insulated. Fasten the cables to
prevent contact with moving parts of the roller shutter system; do not let the moving parts of the roller shutter rub against the
cable.
