USAGE:
• This isolated inverter is not suitable for use with medical instruments, sensitive timing machines,
meters and calculating devices that draw graphs.
• The manufacturer advises care when using the device on boats and in other marine environments,
on caravans and RVs.
• Since the inverter is intended for indoor use only, it must be placed in a dry, well ventilated, dust
free and secure location where it would experience minimal vibration.(See installation instructions
for correct and appropriate set up).
• Do not use the inverter next to flammable materials.
• Do not place the unit in same compartment as the batteries.
• The inverter is designed for negative ground d.c. systems. A negative ground d.c. system has the
battery negative terminal connected to the chassis.
CAUTION!:
Appliances powered by the inverter should not have ‘temporary high surfing’ when loaded. This
means that the power surge of the connected device when it is switched on should not exceed the
maximum surge rating of the inverter concerned, which in this case is 450W. So even if the normal
continuous power is less than 150W, if the start-up power surge is over 450W, then it should not be
plugged into this inverter.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Ensure the inverter power switch is in the OFF position.
2. Connect the cigarette lighter plug to your Appliance connector socket in your vehicle, caravan or
boat. IF USING AN EXTENSION cable ensure the cable is of size 2.5mm sq or higher. We also
recommend the maximum distance from the battery to the inverter is 3m.
Caution! Reverse polarity connection may permanently damage the inverter. Damage caused by
a reverse polarity connection is not covered by the warranty.
4. For a vehicle, boat or caravan please connect the wire as shown below:
