1. Precautions and Safety Warnings
Please read this manual carefully before using your CNK212
Cable-Nook Interconnect Box. Keep this manual handy for future
reference. These safety instructions are to ensure the long life of
your CNK212 and to prevent fire and shock hazards. Please
read them carefully and heed all warnings.
1.1 General
•
Qualified Altinex service personnel or their authorized
representatives must perform all service.
1.2 Installation
•
For best results, place the CNK212 Cable-Nook in a dry
area away from dust and moisture.
•
To prevent fire or shock, do not expose this unit to water or
moisture. Do not place the CNK212 in direct sunlight, near
heaters or heat-radiating appliances, or near any liquid.
Exposure to direct sunlight, smoke, or steam can harm
internal components.
•
Handle carefully; dropping or jarring can damage the unit.
•
Never place fingers inside the openings in the back of the
unit. This action could cause serious injury because of the
sharp edges inside. Tabletop cutout dimensions and
templates can be obtained at
1.3 Cleaning
•
Surfaces should be cleaned with a dry cloth. Never use
strong detergents or solvents, like alcohol or thinner. Do
not use a wet cloth or water to clean the unit.
1.4 FCC Notice

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1)
This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2)
this device must accept any interference received,
including interference that may cause undesired
operation.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply

provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference when the equipment is operated in a

communications. Operation of this equipment in a

Installation
Procedures
CAUTION:
Do not handle the unit by the bezel’s thin lip or lay on its side.
The bezel is sharp and easily dented or bent. Handle by the housing only.
Step 1.
Cut an opening in the table’s surface. Refer to
table cutout dimensions and templates. Always confirm dimensions
before cutting to ensure specifications have not changed.
Table thickness must be 0.5 - 3.5 in (13-89 mm).
Step 2. If needed, adjust the interior bracket mounts to the level you require by
removing the two screws securing each bracket to the interior housing.
Make sure both sides are at the same level.
Step 3. Insert CNK212 unit into the tabletop cutout. Place the support brackets under the table and place
them between the support mount grooves on the side of the unit. Attach the brackets to the groove
at the desired height and secure them to the bottom of the table using the knurled table securing
screws. Tighten provided wing nuts to secure screw in place.
