Safety Thermostat
There is a safety thermostat located next to the electrical element. This is a safety system,
designed to open at 80°C, or 16 amps current. If it activates you need to establish the reason
that it deactivated so that you can address the problem.
Note that there may be no indication on the control panel that this has been activated, so if
you suspect that the electrical element is not working, may need to manually check this safety
switch.
If you cannot determine what happened and it is still deactivated, contact customer services.
If the fault has been cured and you intend to reactivate the thermostat, please follow this
procedure:
•
Before checking the switch, turn off the power to the system. There may be 240v
power active at the switch or the electrical element
•
Remove the compressor cover, unscrewing the two screws
•
Remove the plastic cover over the electric heater
•
If the small button (2) is protruding, the switch has been activated
•
Press the small button to reactivate the thermostat. Check it stays in
•
Replace the lid (1) and then the cover, with the 2 screws
•
Turn the power back on to the system
