8. Optional connection to extend the RCU if your set top box is inside a
cabinet
8.1. Connect the RCU (RF) Extender
to the connector marked “RCU
EXT.” on the rear panel of the Set Top Box.
9. Ethernet Port for connection to the internet. This functionality is planned
for future support. New user manuals will be available online when this
feature is available.
10. Connect one of the following power supply options to your Set Top Box.
10.1. Power supply cable from the external PSU 12V DC plug.
10.2. Power supply cable from the external car power adapter 12V DC
plug.
11. Once all the relevant cable connections to the equipment are complete,
the external Power Supply Unit (PSU) cable can be plugged into your
AC wall socket outlet.
12. Once Set Top Box is powered up, follow the instructions in the setup
wizard Point 7. -
“First time start-up of the Set Top Box” (page 17 of this
guide)
6.2 VAST Registration
The Australian Government funds a free-to-air satellite service
– Viewer
Access Satellite Television (VAST). VAST provides digital television to
viewers in remote areas of Australia who are unable to receive digital TV
through their normal TV antenna due to local interference, terrain or distance
from the transmitter in their area.
1. Once the installation and first time start-up processes of the set top box
are completed and the STB has scanned, the VAST registration
process may be completed.
2. Log on to the following websites where you may (1) Register for VAST
services or (2) Re-Activate your VAST service.

