Remote control (RUE-4119)

Names of the Parts

Tips

If an operation is not accepted,
the navigation system beeps.

Adjust the volume with the
control on display monitor etc.

Remote Control
transmitter

This section transmits the remote
control signals. Aim the remote
control toward the display monitor
for operation.

Transmitter indicator

Lights up to show that a remote
control function is being utilized.

Zoom/Quick Scroll buttons

Changes the map magnification
ratio upward or downward in 9
steps (1/32, 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 2,
8, 32 and 128 miles).

CANC. (Cancel) button

Returns the navigation system to
the previous screen. When
scrolling in the Map mode, pressing
this button returns the screen to the
present vehicle location.

Joystick

Selects items from menus and
moves the map in eight directions.

ENTER button

Selects a highlighted item when
the button is pressed.
Press this button until a click
sound is produced to execute your
selection.

MENU button

Displays the main menu screen.

VOICE button

Press this button for voice
guidance. (Real time voice
guidance)

LIST button

Displays list of the streets currently
set for the route. To return to the
guidance mode, press the MP/RG
button.

DETOUR button

Pressing this button in the
guidance mode activates the
automatic detour mode. The
system automatically recalculates
the detouring route.

DISP ON/OFF
buttons

Turns the pictorial
display on or off.

Numeric Keypad

• Use these buttons to enter phone

numbers, address numbers or street
names containing numbers (i.e.,
42nd St.).

• Please refer to the NVD-A101

OWNER´S MANUAL (included with
DVD-ROM) for software operating
instructions.

MP/RG (Map/Route
Guidance) button

Press to switch between the map
and guide (with arrow) modes.

N/H button

Toggles between Noth Up and
Heading Up orientation.

(When the
flip cover is
open)

DEL DEST. button

Deletes current destination.

OK button

Executes numeral inputtings and
starts searching.

DEL button

Deletes the character
previously input.

Rotary encoder

This has multiple functions. In map
displays, zoom in or out; in list
displays, scrolls list pages; in
coordinate inputting, moves cursor;
in alphabet inputting, moves
alphabetical characters.

PLAN button

Can delete the route set by
Today’s Plan function.
