It is possible to limit remote access to the AlphaCom XL to just one IP address within the IP range. The
AlphaCom XL has factory settings to be accessed through the local network. This does not mean that the
AlphaCom XL cannot be accessed from a remote site. To access from a remote site the router has to setup to
so that the external IP address will be rerouted to the internal IP address. The standard settings to only be
able to access from a local network will be used in most cases however.
Lock-out and logging:
Here it is possible to determine what the consequences are of entering a wrong user name and password. The
settings for „maximum login-ins‟ and the „blocking time‟ can be programmed in this screen. Once access to
the webserver has been blocked, both the user and the supervisor cannot access the AlphaCom XL. However
after powering down the AlphaCom XL the blocking time is reset.
If the option „generate alarm when blocked‟ has been enabled, a alarm message will be sent to the central
station in SIA-HS format as a „TA‟ alarm.
