8.8 MAC Address Filters:
The MAC (Media Access Controller) Address filter option is used to control
network access based on the MAC Address of the network adapter. A MAC
address is a unique ID assigned by the manufacturer of the network adapter.
This feature can be configured to ALLOW or DENY network/Internet access.
Filter Settings:
When the
MAC Address Filter
is
Enabled
, depending on the mode selected,
computers are granted or denied network access based on their MAC address.

Select the
Mode
from the drop-down list
.
If
Allow
is selected, only
computers with MAC addresses listed in the MAC Address List are
granted network access and if you select
Deny
, any computer with a
MAC address listed in the MAC Address List are granted network
access.

When
Filter Wireless Clients
is selected, the MAC address filters will be
applied to wireless network clients.
?
When
Filter Wired Clients
is selected, the MAC address filters will be
applied to wired network clients.
Add MAC Address

MAC address entries are activated or deactivated with the
Enable
checkbox checked or unchecked.

Enter the
MAC Address
of the desired computer or connect to the router from the desired computer and click
Copy Your PC's MAC
Address
button.

MAC Address List:
This section lists the current MAC address filters. By toggling the
Enable
checkbox the MAC Address List can be enabled or disabled. To edit
the entries click on the pencil icon. To delete the entries click on the trash can icon. If you have made any changes or deletions, click on
Save Settings
at the top of the page. If your configuration settings are complete, click
Reboot the Device
or click Continue. The router must
reboot before new settings will take effect.
