The
CA-USBSERV10
Serial to USB Adapter allows the ability to connect a 9-pin serial device to an AlphaECall™ 200 Master.

noTe:
Only one serial connection can be made to each Master. An AEC200PC can be used to connect additional serial
devices to a network.
Serial hardware that can be connected to a Master are:
• STR Translator
(TL333) - used to receive emergency calls by wired call devices and activate dome lights. See “Wired” section
below on page 10 for details.
• Wireless Network Coordinator
(WNC510) - used to receive emergency calls by wireless devices. See “Wireless Hardware”
section on page 18 for details.
• Pager Transmitter
(TX125-ENC) - used to send emergency notifications to Pocket Pagers.
• Central Station Dialer
(CSD502) - used to contact an off site central station/alarm service to automatically let them know an
emergency call has taken place.
• Relay Boards
(RY008AE) - these can be used to tie in other types of notification devices to AlphaECall. When an emergency
call is received you could trigger visual or audible devices like a strobe light, horn, siren, etc.

Wired sTr hardware
The STR QwikBUS™ is a 2-wire loop that can have a virtually unlimited number of emergency call devices connected to it. Any type
of device that can either make a momentary or latching dry contact closure can be used with the STR QwikBUS™. Example of these
types of contacts are:
• Momentary
- push button, motion sensor, door or window contacts, bed stations
• Latching
- pullcords, smoke detectors, push-button stations
