When to use half step SkyRailPlus™ positions
Some customers want the ability to set the projector to a 4:3 aspect ratio when playing
golf and an HD (16:9 or 16:10) aspect ratio when watching a movie. When switching
between these aspect ratios a projector must be moved further back in 4:3. As noted
previously in this guide there are three primary SkyRailPlus™ positions (1) Short
Reach, (2) Default and (3) Long Reach. However, it is also possible to position halfway
to the Short Reach and Long Reach positions.

This information can prove helpful when locating the best slide range based on a
particular projectors throw ratio. For example below is chart showing the distance the
ULTRASHORT-HD-720P-OC projector will need to be placed outside the enclosure for
aspect ratios and enclosure depth shown:

The best position for the 10’ wide 5’ deep MiniBay™ is the Short Reach Half Step of 2”
to 19” that accommodates both aspect ratios. Whereas the best position for the 14’
Wide 6 deep SuperBay™ is the Long Reach Half step. The 14 wide SuperBay™
requires a 6’ deep enclosure to accommodate the longer projector throw. If you have
