10. Remove and discard adapter seal.

NOTE: This seal must be replaced with a new Allied
Systems Company-approved seal during reassembly.

Remove and Discard

11. Remove double tapered roller bearing assembly and

drum seal spacer from the left-hand end of the drum.

Remove and Discard

NOTE: Refer to Figure 4-2 for location of components.

NOTE: Bearing cones, cups and spacer are matched
set.

- Drum Shaft & Drum Removal

12. Remove and discard shaft seal from drum. (Seal lip

should normally be pointed in.)

13. Using a suitable lifting device, the drum gear can

now be removed.

14. Remove and discard adapter seal from winch hous-

ing.
