Camera interfaces
Out 3 and 4 – Opto-isolated
Out 3
and
Out 4
signals are optically isolated and require the user to provide a
voltage level,
Isolated Out Power
. The Out3/4 signal should be grounded by
adding an external load resistor as shown in figure 53 and table 23.
Isolated
Out Power
can be configured between
5–24 V
.
The influence of various
Isolated Out Power
values and load values on the tim-
ing response of the trigger is indicated in the table 23. Trigger current,
Out ICC
,
is a function of
Isolated Out Power
voltage and Load resistor
R
.
Note
Prosilica GT Technical Manual V2.1.1, V2.2.0, and V2.3.0
presented two 4.75 KΩ internal pull-down resistors in the
opto-isolated output trigger circuit. In July 2012, these 4.75
KΩ resistors were removed from the printed circuit board
assembly.
Regardless of whether your GT camera has the two 4.75 KΩ
internal pull-down resistors or not, please implement the
output trigger (
Out3
and
Out4
) as described below.
