Finally, the device can be powered by both an external AC/DC power
adapter and a PoE+ power source. Refer to Figure 6.

Here are the operating rules of the wireless access point when connected
to both an AC/DC power adapter and a PoE+ power source:

The two power sources are not load sharing. The power adapter is
the primary power source and PoE is held in reserve. The LAN port
operates as a standard Ethernet LAN port, with PoE blocked.

If the power adapter stops providing power, the wireless access
point automatically changes to PoE on the LAN port as its power
source.

If the power adapter resumes providing power, the wireless access
point automatically switches back to the power adapter as its
primary power source. PoE on the LAN port is blocked and
returned to reserve status.
