Chapter 4: Modifying Advanced Properties

Maximum Number of MSI-X Messages

Message-signaled interrupts provide an in-band method of signaling
interrupts to the host processor which can be used as an alternative to
traditional out of band methods.

To enable or disable the Maximum Number of MSI-X Messages feature,
do the following:

1. Access the Advanced Properties.

See “Accessing Advanced Properties” on page 54.

2. Select

Maximum Number of MSI-X Messages

in the Property box.

The Maximum Number of MSI-X Messages window is displayed as
shown in Figure 34.

Sets the number of interrupts that can be allocated (up to

2048).


