To prevent accidents stop the engine and disconnect the

spark plug lead before attempting to carry out mainte-

nance procedures on the mower.

Carburettor Adjustments

Should only be made by an authorised Honda dealer. Under

no circumstances should the engine be adjusted to run at a

speed in excess of that shown in ‘Specifications’.

Air Cleaner Service

Clean the filter element in warm soapy water,

rinse and allow to dry thoroughly. Or clean in

nonflammable solvent and allow to dry.

Dip the filter element in clean oil, then squeeze

out all the excess oil. The engine will smoke

when started if too much oil is left in the foam.

Wipe dirt from the air cleaner body and cover,

using a moist rag. Be careful to prevent dirt from

entering the carburetor.
