What’s in the box

Step 1. Install the camera
The camera can be installed directly to a ceiling, or to a wall with the ALI-AB15 wall mount bracket.
Procedures for both install types are included here.
NOTE
To protect the trim ring and the bubble, leave the protective plastic film in place until the camera is
mounted and you power it on.
Install microSD card (optional)
Install a microSD card in the camera to locally save alarm and status information, and locally record
video and video captures. Refer to the
Specifications
section for storage card requirements. To install the
card:
1.
Remove the trim ring
: Use a small blade screwdriver to pry the trim ring from the
cover/bubble assembly. Four slots are provided on the lower edge of the ring.

Remove the cover/bubble assembly
: Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver to remove the four
screws connecting the cover to the camera assembly.
These cover screws are NOT captive
screws.

Lift off the cover/dome assembly. Be careful to not scratch or contaminate the bubble.
3.
Find the microSD card slot on the PC board inside the camera. Insert the microSD card into the
slot shown. The card should slide in smoothly. Push the card in until it clicks into place.

4.
Reinstall the cover/bubble assembly.
5.
Reinstall the trim ring. Inspect the inside of the trim ring to see how it aligns with the cover, and
then snap it into place.
Remove the mounting plate from the camera
1.
Rotate the mounting plate counter clockwise until it is free from the camera base, and then lift it
off the camera.

Install the mounting plate - ceiling mounting
To install the mounting plate on a ceiling:
1.
Verify that the ceiling will hold at least four (4) times the weight of the camera.
2.
Determine the best kind of fasteners to attach the mounting plate to the ceiling. Mounting
hardware provided is adequate or many types of surfaces, but other fasteners may be more
appropriate.
3.
Use the mounting plate to mark the locations of the holes you need to drill to mount the camera.
The mounting plate should be aligned so that the “FRONT” mark on the plate is toward the center
of the camera pan range.
4.
Drill holes in the surface for the mounting screws, and cables, if needed. You can also remove the
channel plug in the base to route the drop cables to the side.
5.
Anchor the mounting plate to the ceiling as shown below using at least four screws.
6.
Position the camera on the mounting plate such that the screw heads in the camera base fit
into the slots in the plate, and then rotate the camera as shown to lock the camera in place. See
below.
