7.2 Upgrading firmware of base unit:
There are two ways to upgrade the base unit, described below :
First method:
The base unit device can be updated via a USB drive:
1. Copy the file “update.img” to the root directory of the USB drive.
2. Connect the USB drive to either USB port of Base-unit .
Note: The USB port can only support a maximum of 500ma. Please use an appropriate power U-disk
for upgrading USB drive.
ALF-WirelessMedia recognizes the “ update.img ” file when a USB stick is plugged-in automatically and
starts the “Full Update” procedure.
You can plug out the USB stick within 10 seconds to stop the update.
Attention !
Do not disconnect power during the upgrading progress, or the units firmware will be corrupted.
3. The upgrade progress is displayed as below, and the unit will reboot automatically after completing the
update:
Note: During the update, the screen can be temporarily dark.
If the progress bar stops at 1%, use another USB drive as it may be defective.
