The subject of the programme selected will
flash on the display and if no station broad-
casting the required type of programme is
found the display will show “
NO PTY ” for
five seconds.
WARNING If no button is pressed within
5 seconds after pressing button “ PTY ”
( 12 ) or “
»
“ ( 26 ) or “
”
“ ( 24 ), the
Program Type function will be deactivated
automatically.
To turn the PTY function off briefly press
the “ PTY ” ( 12 ) button again.
EON function
(Enhanced Other Network)
Certain countries have circuits which group
together several stations enabled to broad-
cast traffic information (typical case) or
other specific subjects.
In this case the programme of the station
RDS TI being heard, will be interrupted
temporarily to receive traffic information
(only with the Priority PTY function on),
every time these bulletins are given by one
of the stations of the same circuit.
Priority PTY function
(selecting the PTY programme
subject in EON mode)
The PTY programme subject can be se-
lected through the EON function.
Keep button “ PTY ” ( 12 ) pressed for over
2 seconds to select the preset subject
“
NEWS ”.
To display the various subjects, press but-
tons “
»
“ ( 26 ) or “
”
“ ( 24 ) within 5
seconds after pressing the “ PTY “ ( 12 ) but-
ton, otherwise if no button is pressed this
mode will be deactivated automatically.
After having found the required subject,
keep button “
PTY
” (
12
) pressed for over
2 seconds to select it.
Regional broadcast reception
function (REG)
To turn on/off the REG function (Regional
Programmes) that makes it possible to tune
in only on local stations (regional), proceed
as follows:
– keep button “ ON ” ( 23 ) pressed for
3 seconds at least
– press button “ 4 ” ( 18 ) to select/not
select local stations.
The display will show “ REG ON ” or
“ REG OFF ”.
– Press briefly button “ ON ” ( 23 ) to quit.
If the function is off and a regional pro-
gramme is tuned that works in a determi-
nate area and the car enters a different area,
the regional station of the new area is re-
ceived.
Stereophonic stations
Stereophonic stations are displayed with
symbol “ ST ”.
If the signal received is weak, tuner
switches automatically from Stereo to Mono.
