Using the HDD Copy Cruiser High-Speed WL 

Main Menu

Overwrite 

E.   7-Pass Overwrite

This method will write over the entire capacity of the hard drives connected to the 

HDD Copy Cruiser High-Speed WL seven different times.  

DoD 5220.22M is the Department of Defense document that discusses both Three 

and Seven Pass Overwrite data wiping.  

E1.  To perform a Seven Pass Overwrite, scroll to “7-Pass Overwrite” and press 

OK

. The following screen will be displayed. 

E2.  The loading pattern process for the 7-Pass Overwrite will be displayed. 

E3.  The estimated time elapsed for the 7-Pass Overwrite process will be displayed. 

E4.  When the process is finished, the following screen will be shown.
