4.5 GARD Hardware

Internally, the GARD is implemented as a single PCB motherboard and one daughter PCB.
The motherboard provides the following functions:



Controls



Ground Leak/Fault Detection



Arc Detection Board



PV Disconnect upon fault



Channel Status

The Motherboard houses:



Auxiliary Power Supply



8 DC Current Sensors: 2 per channel



8 High Voltage Relays: 2 per channel



Microprocessor Controls



Self-Test, Pre-\Circuits



AFD Sensor
