- Ensure that the steam function of the device is switched off
before plugging it in or unplugging it.
- When not in use, always unplug the power plug to avoid any
hazards.
- Do not cover the device and ensure that the device openings
are not blocked with dirt, hair, etc.
- Only use the device for cleaning suitable floors or carpeting by
using the carpet glider attachment. Do not use the device to
clean pets or plants. Never point the steam outlet at people or
pets.
- Do not clean tapestry or carpets hanging on the walls.
- Do not run the device across the power cord; the power cord
might get damaged.
- The appliance must be grounded. Use only a properly ground-
ed outlet when plugging in the appliance do not attempt to de-
feat this safety feature. Improper connection to the grounding
conductor may result in the risk of an electric shock.

• Carefully remove the device from its original packaging.
• Remove all packaging.
• Clean the device and all accessories and remove all remaining dust from
the packaging as described in Chapter “MAINTENANCE, CLEANING, AND
CARE”.
