HAM3000C03

SDI

Serial Digital Interface. A standard used for the transmission of uncompressed video
signals that can also include audio and time code signals.

VITC

Vertical Interval Time Code. This term refers to the modulation system used to insert the
time code signal into the vertical blanking interval of a video signal.

dB

Logarithmic measurement to express ratios of power.

dBu

Logarithmic measurement referring to 0.7746V which is the voltage that dissipates
1mW (0dBm) of power when applied to a 600 ohm resistor.

Composite sync

Standard definition analog video signal used in television studios to maintain
synchronization between any piece of equipment that handles both analog and digital
video signals.

Trilevel sync

High definition analog video signal used in television studios to maintain
synchronization between any piece of equipment that handles both analog and digital
video signals.
