CLEANING AND CARE
Before cleaning, make sure to disconnect the appliance from the electrical outlet and let it cool
completely.
Do not use solvents or abrasives, metal utensils or hard brushes for cleaning.
• Open the lid and remove the permanent filter (17) or size 1x4” paper filter and paper filter holder (16).
• Dispose of paper filter and coffee grounds in an environmentally-friendly way.

• Wipe clean with a slightly damp cloth and some mild detergent.

• Clean with some mild dishwasher detergent.
• Rinse with clean water thoroughly.
• Let dry completely.
• Insert into their original locations.
Storage
• Dry all parts well before storage.
• Store the appliance in a cool, dry and clean place, preferably in its original package.
DESCALING
Note:
Descale the coffee maker regularly. The intervals depend mainly on water hardness
and the frequency of use. Only use commercially available descaling agents and follow the
manufacturer’s instructions.
• Fill the water tank (3) with water and appropriate amount of descaling agent up to the

gauge (4).
• Start the brewing process ( Before first use).
• As soon as the brewing process is finished, remove the full glass carafe (15) carefully.
Danger of burns!
• Dispose of the water with descaling agent. Do not dispose of in enamelled sinks. Do not use the same solution for
a second time. If the results are not satisfactory, repeat the process.
• Residues of the descaling agent can affect the coffee taste. Let the coffee maker complete 2 or 3 brewing cycles
with clear water to remove all residues.
• Clean the appliance afterwards ( Cleaning and care).
