4. Maintenance
In terms of general maintenance, it is important to make sure that water is
prevented from getting into places that should be kept dry. While the control
system’s actuators have been designed to withstand outdoor installations, the
control station actuators should still be protected from direct sunlight and
contact with water when the control station is not in use.
Maintenance intervals
The IO control system’s maintenance intervals are presented in the table
below. The maintenance of the jet(s) is detailed in the jet model’s operation
and maintenance manual. The maintenance of the hydraulic cylinders is
detailed in a separate hydraulic cylinder maintenance manual.
Procedures
A visual check means inspecting the external condition of the components.
This is a preventive measures that prolongs the operating life of the
components. For example: potential leaks in the hydraulic system, checking
the hydraulic oil amount, breakdown of electrical connections or corrosion.
Procedures can also refer to the section of the manual in which the procedure
is explained.
