User Guide

INTRODUCTION

Version 2.00 introduces Surround sound mixing facilities to the DPS24.

Supported Surround formats are: 5.1, LCRS and 2+2 (Quadraphonic).

The new Surround Mixing mode is an additional mode, on top of the existing features.

In Stereo Mixing mode, all existing features are unchanged , and operation is the same as V1.60.

NOTE:

It is essential that you back up all files and data before installing any new version of DPS24

operating system .

In particular it should be noted that in order to support surround mixing new mixer controls and
project settings have been added and these will not be recognized by earlier versions of the DPS24 OS.

This means that if a surround project created with this version of the DPS24 OS is loaded into an
earlier version of DPS24 OS all surround related settings will be lost and the project will revert to a
stereo project with no surround mixing information.
