After creating a clip, you can use the Clip View mode to edit its properties:
1.
Select the clip you would like to edit by tapping the clip slot on the display or holding
Select
and pressing the
Clip Launch pad
.
2.
Press the
Clip
button to enter Clip View.
3.
Here, you can adjust the clip length, clip start and end points, loop start and end points, launch
quantization, and more.
Now let's add a new track, this time an audio track:
1.
To add a new track, tap the
[ + ]
icon at the top of the display in Matrix view, or press and hold
one of the
Track Selector
buttons. You can choose what kind of track you would like to create.
Select
Audio
.
2.
Select where you'd like to add a sample by tapping the clip slot on the display, or by pressing
the
Clip Launch pad
in Launch mode.
3.
Press the
Load
button to open the Browser, or select Browser in the Menu.
4.
Navigate to the Clips section to load an audio clip.
5.
Once the clip is loaded, you can adjust its properties using Clip View mode.
Let's add one more track, this time a plugin track, and record some notes:
1.
To add a new track, tap the
[ + ]
icon at the top of the display in Matrix view, or press and hold
one of the
Track Selector
buttons. You can choose what kind of track you would like to create.
Select
Plugin
. A default synth plugin track will be created.
2.
Follow the same steps as above to create a new empty clip.
3.
Press the
Note
button to enter Note mode.
4.
When using Note mode with an instrument plugin, you can adjust the layout of the Clip Launch
pads. Press and hold the
Note
button to quickly select a preset, or press and hold
Shift
and
press the
Note
button to access the Note configuration menu.
5.
Follow the same steps as above to record-enable your track, then use the
Clip Launch pads
to
record some notes.
Once you have a few clips, you can begin playing and mixing your clips together:
1.
To launch a single clip, tap the clip slot in the display, or press the respective Clip Launch pad
while in Launch mode.
Clips will play according to the launch quantization setting. You can change this setting by
holding
Shift
and pressing one of the
Track Select
buttons.
To launch a scene (an entire row of clips), press the
Scene Launch
buttons.

To stop a clip, press the
Clip Stop
button, then press the
Track Assign
button where the clip
is playing.
You can also press the
Stop All
button to stop all clips at once.
3.
Press the
Mixer
button to access the Mixer, where you can adjust track volume, panning,
sends, and inserts.
4.
To assign tracks to the A or B crossfader grouping, press and hold the
Assign A
or
Assign B
buttons, then press a
Track Assign
button.
To clear crossfader assignments, hold Shift and press the
Assign A
or
Assign B
buttons.
