TROUBLESHOOTING THE APPLIANCE

The DVD player is
connected to a power
outlet but will not play.
The plug has not been
inserted correctly.
Connect the power supply again.
A disc has been
inserted, but no tracks
or play times are
showing on screen.
The disc is not inserted
correctly.
The disc is dirty or cracked.
Correctly insert the disc.
Clean or replace the disc.
No sound.
The AV cable is not correctly
connected or is loose.
Reconnect the AV cable and
ensure the TV is on the correct
channel.
No picture.
The cables are not inserted
correctly.
Re-insert the cables and check
the SCART lead or AV cable is
connected correctly.
The remote control
does not work.
The battery does not have
enough power.
The remote controller is
not correctly pointed at the
remote sensor.
The remote sensor is dirty.
Change the battery.
Point the remote controller
directly at the remote sensor.
Clean the remote sensor with a
clean, dry cloth.
The picture freezes or
skips during playback,
or the sound is
distorted.
The disc is damaged, cracked
or dirty.
The speaker is interfering
with DVD playback.
Clean or replace the disc.
Move the speaker away from the
player.
