Chapter 1: Description & Specifications
1.1 Foreword
Note:
All of the operations of this product shall be performed by professional engineers
and technicians.
This manual shall only be used as the guide for the installation and operation of the
ICE DC03HDNC1U, DC05CDNC1U, DC05HDNC1U & DC10HDNC1U Cabinet Air
Conditioners. It introduces the functions and regular maintenances of the unit.
1.2 General Description
This air conditioner is a cooling product developed for the telecom industry when DC power
is preferred for operating the air conditioner. This air conditioner is powered by -48VDC.
This air conditioner’s frequency can be regulated. It has cooling capacity regulating function,
and the fans can regulate speed automatically to reduce noise.
The internal cycle air path absorbs the hot air from the upside, and discharges the cold air
from the downside of the air conditioner. The external cycle air path absorbs the external
cold air from the downside, and discharges the hot air from the upside after heat exchange,
as shown in Figure1.

IMPORTANT
The air conditioner shall be kept vertically strictly in accordance with the
instructions on the package during transportation, storage and use.

Power Input Range: DC power: -48VDC (-36~-60VDC)
External ambient temperature: -40ºF – 131ºF (-40ºC – 55 ºC)
