5.3.1 Checking before initialization
Verify that the positioner and electrical connection installation meets the requirements in Chapter 4 (Installation). Connect the
supply air and the power supply/signal. Control the valve manually by pressing buttons
and
from fully opened to
completely
closed and
make sure that
the
installation
is correct.
In test mode, the angle is displayed in the display.
When the valve is opened in half, the displayed angular value is about 0 degrees.
It must be checked that the angle of the adapter is in the range of -52° / 0° / 52°.
The adapter must not be blocked!
5.3.2
Automatic calibration
1.
After the positioner is connected to the power supply (4 ... 20 mA signal), hold in normal mode the button A/M more than 3
seconds to enter configuration mode.

Press the button; upper line shows "N0", bottom line shows "INIA"

Press function key A/M,
parameter name
(INIA) flashing.
4.
For more than 3 seconds, press the button, the top line will display "STRT"
and automatic calibration will begin.

The entire procedure from "STEP1" to "STEP5" is passed through. The current step appears in the bottom row.

After calibration, the parameter values are displayed in the upper row, in the lower line the corresponding calibration
parameters
are
displayed.

Press the A/M key to return to normal operation.
WARNING
During initialization, the valve is fully opened and completely closed. Review the conditions on
site and take action to ensure that the valve movement does not affect the personal safety and
safety of the production process.
Before initialization, the valve must be manually controlled from the fully open position to the
fully closed position to ensure that the installation is correct and that the taker does not block,
and
that the angle information in the display does not exceed the
range of -52° and 52°. If
this is the case, the structure and angle adjustment of the adapter must be adjusted (see point
5.5).
