Fig 12 – Folding the Walkway Tube
Turn the tube so that the glued side is on the bottom.
Fold the four sides of the walkway ends down at 90
degrees. Apply glue all around the end of the walkway
tube and fit the end to it (see Fig 13). As the walkway
is sloping, ensure that the correct end is fitted, so that it
matches the shape of the walkway sides. Repeat for the
other end.

Final Assembly
The jetway is intended to be used for embarking
passengers at an aircraft parking stand. It is important
that the model is located so that it will fit properly
against parked aircraft. Check its fit in your intended
layout before finishing construction.
Apply glue to the flat end of the walkway and fit it to
the side of the main wall assembly (see Fig 14).
The walkway slopes to allow the jetway to be attached
to buildings and other structures. It is intended to slope
down towards the jetway, so that the other end is at the
correct height. Make sure the walkway is attached the
correct way round.
The walkway can be fitted in any suitable position, so
that it will fit into the final layout in the desired
manner. If the walkway is centred between the top of
the jetway wall and the feint horizontal line printed
around the walls, its other end will fit neatly to most
buildings and other structures in the Airport Designs
range.
Fig 14 – Fitting the Walkway
To fit the jetway to a building or other structure, apply
glue to the other end of the walkway and fit it carefully
to the building wall in the desired position (see Fig 15).
Take care to ensure that the walkway is straight and the
jetway rests flat on the ground.
