ARCHITECTS/ENGINEERS’ SPECIFICATIONS:
Vandal proof sub station for ADA rescue assistance
applications shall be Aiphone model NE-NVP-RA. It shall be
available in a flush mount style, with the optional surface
mounting box (SBX-NVP) sold separately. Tamper resistant
mounting screws and installation tool are to be provided by
the manufacturer.
The unit shall be constructed of 11 gauge carbon steel with a
white powder coated, baked epoxy finish. The unit shall be
equipped with a red mushroom call button and call assurance
LEDs labeled “Call Placed” and “Help Coming”. The unit shall
have braille signage, along with the word “EMERGENCY”
at the top of each unit.
Wiring to each remote station shall be three common
wires plus one individual wire per station, looped. Wiring
may also be homerun from each remote to the master
with four conductors. Master station shall be Aiphone
NEM -RS series, or standard NEM series if a reset button
is installed at each remote station location.
Units shall be manufactured by Aiphone.

Each remote can have the option of an
external “call placed” and “help coming”
assurance lamp or sounding device. A local
reset button is required when a standard NEM
master station is used. If the calls are to be
reset at the master, use the “RS” model.
