9. INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
Perform periodical inspection and maintenance to ensure the bed keeps operating in a safe condition.
Quarterly checks and maintenance are recommended. Once a problem has occured, consult the
suppliers maintenance personnel for inspection and repairs.
A. Check electrical components
Check to ensure the emergency controller and hand control work properly.
Check the electrical power cords for damage, cracks and entanglement.
Insert the plugs and verify they are firmly held.
Routinely check the electrical power cords for proper grounding.
B. Check Construction
Check the welding parts.
Check to ensure the screws connect firmly.
Check the mechanical parts for proper and flexible operation, including the hinge connection and hi-
lo movement of the bed decks, operation of the side rails, castors and hi-lo system. Lubricate these
mechanical parts with HJ-(20-30) oil.
Check the performance of the lockout controls.
Check to ensure the normal operation of the motors.
C.Rechargeable Battery
It is equipped with OT1.3-12 rechargeable battery with two to four years life span. The rechargeable
battery is lead-acid, it should be placed in a cool and dry place when not in use. Recharge the battery
every month. Replace the scrapped battery as per the following instruction:
Remove the screw form the control box housing, and take out the charging wire connected to the control
box. Replace the original battery with the new one, tighten the housing screw.
D. Product Life
Under normal use, the back section, knee section and the whole bed cab be adjusted up and down more
than 10,000 times with the maximum load.
The equipment and accessories are to be disposed of according to local regulations after their service
lives. Alternatively, they can be returned to the dealer or the supplier for recycling or proper disposal.
The height of the mattress used is at least 20mm higher than any
construction part (e.g., medical bed frame, side structure or the
lowered side rails of the bed at the area of the mattress support
platform) intended for the ingress/egress of the bed.
