▶
Do not pinch or bend network connection cables.
▶
Do not use extension cables or multiple socket power strips.
▶
A steam and high-pressure cleaner should not be used for basic cleaning (see
➙
Chapter 10.1).
▶ Hidden electrical parts (for example, heating conductors in door frames, foam parts,
defrosting groove, drain) must not be damaged. Drilling or other work on the appli
-
ance is not permitted.
1.6.1 Refrigerant circuit
Only specialist personnel are permitted to carry out work on the refrigerant circuit. Contact mainte
-
nance services in case of error messages or damage to the appliance (see
➙
Chapter 10.4).
1.6.2.1 Flammable refrigerants
Safety instructions and warnings for appliances with flammable refrigerants.
WArNiNG
∙
the refrigerant r-290 belongs to safety group A3 pursuant to DiN EN 378-1.
The refrigerant used and the filling capacity are found on the rating plate (see
➙
Chapter 2.2.1).
∙
The refrigerant is highly flammable.
In case of leakage, refrigerant can escape and cause an explosive gas/air mixture.
This may subsequently lead to fire and explosion with resulting fire risk.
▶ Keep ignition sources (heat, sparks, open flames, hot surfaces) at a distance.
▶
Use a damp cloth or a sponge to remove condensation and clean the appliance.
Do not use dry towels or sponges to wipe dry (risk of electrostatic charging and
sparks).
▶ Before commissioning and re-commissioning, fill the drain with approximately 2
litres of water (prevents refrigerant from flowing into the sewage system).
∙
Installation room requirements:
▶ The appliance must be installed in well ventilated rooms only.
▶
Do not install the appliance in basement rooms or rooms below ground level.
▶ Conduits and wall ducts underneath and behind the appliance must be sealed in a
suitable fire-resistant manner.
▶ Minimum area for installation 300m²
∙
Liquid refrigerant causes frostbite on the skin.
▶ Protect the hands and face from contact with liquid/leaking refrigerant.
▶ Wear safety goggles and protective gloves.
∙
Do not close air vents in the appliance housing (for example, front ventilation
grilles or upper air ducts). if accessories have to be installed, care must be
taken to ensure that no air vents are closed.
∙
Comply with minimum distances from boundary walls and other equipment,
so as not to obstruct the circulation of air. (For minimum distances see
➙
chapter 7).
∙
Do not use mechanical devices or other means (e.g. scrapers) for accelerating
the defrosting procedure, except those recommended by the manufacturer.
∙
Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
▶ Do not expose the appliance to temperatures higher than 70°C (158°F) during stor
-
age and transport.
▶
Avoid the transmission of pulsations and vibrations to the appliance.
▶ Avoid violent impacts to the appliance’s exterior; for example, due to careless
operation with a lift truck or floor cleaning machine.
▶
Drilling or other work on the appliance is not permitted.
▶
Do not pinch or bend tubes.
∙
Do not use electrical appliances (e.g. wet vacuum) inside the refrigerated com-
partment, except those of a design recommended by the manufacturer (explo-
sion protection marking).
∙
A steam and high-pressure cleaner should not be used for basic cleaning
(see
➙
10.1.1).
